Safety & reporting

Buy Me This is private by design: no public profiles, no search for other people's lists, no messaging. The only content you can see from someone else is what they've shared into a group you were invited to. If something in a group isn't right, here's how to tell us.

Report something in a group

Every item shared into a group has a ⚑ Report action — in the app and on the web. Pick a reason (illegal content, abusive or hateful, about you without your consent, or something else), add a note if you like, and send it. You'll get a reference number.

Anything else — including something you can't report from inside the app — email steve@ag-cyber.uk with as much detail as you can.

What happens next

Complaints and appeals

If you think we got a decision wrong — something was removed that shouldn't have been, or something wasn't removed that should — email us quoting your reference and we'll look again with fresh eyes. You can also complain about how we handled your report, or about the service itself, the same way.

Age

You must be 16 or over to hold an account. Children are welcome as the people you buy for; a child's wishlist goes in through a parent's account. If we learn that an account holder is under 16, we close the account.

Photos

Every photo is stripped of embedded location and device details before it's stored. We are integrating automated checking of uploaded images against the Internet Watch Foundation's database of known child sexual abuse material and will update this page when it is live.
